Primeordial
Tagline:
“Reconnecting with our primal instincts and learning from nature to explore the potential consequences of building an Anti-Nature.”
Description:
As new lifestyles are being explored, architecture evolves to satiate the utopian ideals of new societies. Attempts to create designs that are unconventional, disruptive, or contrary to architectural practices of a particular time and place have become the new mainstream. But how does this interact with and change nature? Does building Culture consequently also build an Anti-Nature from which other beings are influenced?
PRIMEORDIAL occurs when we stop questioning. It highlights the importance of the willingness to listen and learn from others in order to make a positive impact, avoiding misguided altruism. It is an attempt to see and experience the spatial and architectural characteristics of natural habitats from the eyes of our animal cohabitants. It becomes the expression of our natural instinctive human drive to discovery, showing us how we can exploit our primordial roots to achieve a better understanding of who we are.
